Spring into Bikepacking Clinic Series
This spring, join the Komorebi Cycling Team and Friends on Bikes for a three part clinic series to encourage women, trans, femme and non-binary riders to adventure by bike. The clinics will be hosted on consecutive Wednesday nights - riders are welcome to attend all or just one. Read through the descriptions and register for clinics below:
Wednesday, February 28th
The first clinic in the series will provide an overview of adventure cycling. We'll talk about bikes, bags, and gear used for off-road touring as well as how to approach your first bikepacking trip.
Wednesday, March 7th
In the second clinic in the series will dig into the details. We'll talk about what and how to pack, how to fuel yourself right and how to develop and navigate a route.
Wednesday, March 15th
The third and final clinic in the series will have two parts: the first part will provide guidance on how to lead a bikepacking trip and the second part will be a storytelling space, where we'll invite folks to tell a short story from a off-road touring experience.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to register for a guided bikepacking ride tentatively scheduled for March 17-18 (weather dependent).
Details to be provided via email after the first clinic.
We'll gather at Cup & Bar at 118 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Please note that Cup & Bar have generously offered up their space for us for free and, in consideration, we're asking attendees to please order at minimum one (1) beverage or snack to help them cover their costs. Your help will ensure that we can host future events in this beautiful community space - thank you.
Additionally, a sliding scale donation of $5-10 is suggested per clinic. All donations will go to support the WTF Bikexplorers Oregon Ride this June.
Donations may be made via Paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org or accepted as cash at each clinic.
